Infinity Recycling

On June 5, 2015, in County Issues, Economics, Environment, Millington, by An American

Infinity is a local firm that offers curb side recycling throughout Kent, Queen Anne’s, Caroline, Talbot and Dorchester counties. The waste material it collects are sorted for resale to companies that convert it back into useful items. Proceeds from the sale of the recycled materials cover most of the cost of collecting and sorting the waste materials.

Infinity recently moved to large, modern facilities in Millington. It is in the process of converting its operation to dual-stream recycling. That means customers sort their waste into two broad categories: containers and fiber. Containers are glass and plastic bottles and jars and metal cans; fiber is paper, cardboard and clothing. Within the categories, customers don’t need to sort items. They will be sorted out at the Infinity plant.
